Hello,

My name is Kitty Sullivan and I am the beginning instructor at Heartland Ranch.  I have 38 years of practical experience with horses and have owned them for most of my life.  I teach basic balance seat equitation which can easily be used as a start for any of the disciplines. I have a variety of students ranging in age from 7 years old to 67 and welcome all ages.
During lessons along with basic riding you will learn to…
Catch, lead and tie your horse.
Use your body language and be organized during groundwork and while longing on the line.
Safely bathe and groom your horse, including clipping.
Choose the correct tack for your horse, implementing safe and humane tacking up procedures.
Ride safely in the arena during private and group lessons
Ride from a balanced seat and leg in all disciplines Ride safely on the trail, including etiquette on group trail rides.
Have FUN in a safe environment.
